Join us on this fun and interactive game to level up your diagnostic skills. Let’s go!

Level 0: Why Clinical Reasoning?

Find out more about our motivation and sense of purpose behind becoming a better diagnostician.

Level 0: Why Clinical Reasoning?
A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Here we go! 100%

Level 1: Problem Representation

Let’s start by reading this introduction on Problem Representation. Focus on the Ws!

Level 1: Problem Representation
Great start! 30%

Take a look at this video alongside Franco, Kirtan and Dr. Ravi Singh.

Level 1: Problem Representation
Keep going! 60%

Time to put everything you’ve learned into practice! Watch this case and try to come up with your own problem representation. Remember the questions: Who? When? What? Play around to make it more or less succinct.

(insert VMR here).

Level 1: Problem Representation
You did it! 100%

Level 2: Illness Scripts

Levels:

Blog post: https://clinicalproblemsolving.com/2022/02/27/clinical-reasoning-corner-illness-script/ Remove the example from it.

Bootcamp video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9QxlEeqsog&t=339s

Something on our illness scripts.

Level 3: Diagnostic Framework

Levels:

Blog post: Write a blog post?

Plug in the Schemas Podcast. Instead of a VMR.

Add in some reading assignments, maybe RLR and Dan’s  Putting Schemas to the Test: An Exercise in Clinical Reasoning.

Finally add in a diagnostic framework.

Level 4: Add in the Math!

Levels:

Blog post on Pre and Post test Probability and Likelihood ratios.

Add in a paper and the Jama LR calculator. https://jamaevidence.mhmedical.com/data/calculators/LR_nomogram.html

Add in a VMR that exemplifies this.  Talvez maybe even add a separate worksheet with some jama LR calculator evidence behind it.

Future Levels:
-Neuro Clinical Reasoning focusing on L x T. Maybe too niche?
- Biases
- Examples of different clinical reasoning tenants (i know we talk a lot about dual process theory so maybe adding a blog post and some good vmrs on this).
- There's a really good blog on GPA and Antibiotic Failure so maybe add like illness script and diagnostic framework round 2 with the blog post + vmr or podcast on this.
