The journey in reaching a diagnosis is in many ways similar to the never-ending journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. Both adventures force us to embrace uncertainty, cultivate curiosity, connect with others, and be resilient and patient in the face of adversity. Most importantly, medicine and life compel us to celebrate progress more than perfection. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth, every mistake a lesson. Of course, transforming setbacks into stepping stones requires a unique mentality focused on acknowledgment, reflection and deliberate practice.
Today we unveil Reasoning Rendezvous, a blog series that will serve as a collective canvas for learners and educators to share their stories and experiences in clinical reasoning. As you have turned to the CPSolvers in the past to improve as clinicians, we hope that now you can find in the CPSolvers a space to deliberately practice empathy and foster personal growth.
Reasoning Rendezvous kindly seeks blog submissions in any form of creative writing limited to 1000 words. We hope in these future stories we all find inspiration and understanding of ourselves and one another as we continue to celebrate our growth as individuals, but also as a collection of hearts bound by a shared quest for knowledge and kindness. Welcome to Reasoning Rendezvous!
How to Contribute:
Submitting your story is simple. Send your creative piece, under 1000 words, on practicing, learning, and/or teaching clinical reasoning to theclinicalproblemsolvers@gmail.com.
We applaud the efforts of writers who live outside the US and have English as a second language as we recognize the particular challenges they may encounter. We encourage blog-post submissions from everyone around the world and will provide copy-editing and proofreading support if needed.
While submissions will not undergo formal peer-review, they will be published on this website and are a form of non-peer reviewed publications. Blog posts will be published every quarter in the following months each year: March, June, September and December.
